Christopher Wiegand, MD

Christopher Wiegand, MD, is a general psychiatrist currently in private practice in Tucson. Dr. Wiegand has a clinical focus in geriatric psychiatry. He provides outpatient care from his office at the ALEPH Center and electroconvulsive therapy at Northwest Medical Center. He spends most of his clinical time as a psychiatric consultant for local nursing homes. In addition, Dr. Wiegand is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Arizona as well as volunteer faculty for the A.T. Still School of Osteopathic Medicine; he participates in resident supervision and medical student education.  
 
He received his BA in Archaeology at the University of Virginia in 1995, his MD at the University of Virginia in 1999, and graduated from the UArizona COM-T Psychiatry residency program in 2003. Dr. Wiegand is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
