Dr. Peter Klinger is double board certified in general psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. He attended SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine, and training general psychiatry at Cambridge Hospital and in child & adolescent psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospitals.
About half his week is spent at the Banner Wilmot Whole Health Clinic as the psychiatrist for the Early Psychosis Intervention Center (EPICenter) program, as well as downstairs with Pediatrics in the Children’s Post-infectious Autoimmune Encephalopathy (CPAE) Clinic and Research Program. Dr. Klinger was the founding Chief Medical Officer for the integrated physical and mental health care provided at the Whole Health Clinic.
The other half of his week is spent caring for children and their families at the Banner UA Whole Child Clinic at South Campus. Dr. Klinger is oriented toward family and systems based psychotherapeutic care. He is a main supervisor in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship program’s outpatient clinic experience.
He is also a faculty member of the UA The Healer’s Art course, and a supervisor in the UA CUP MIND Clinic.
