Richard Rhoads received his MD from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 2001 and graduated from the University of Arizona Psychiatry Residency Program in 2005.  He then worked as an inpatient psychiatrist at Banner University Medical Center, South Campus (then called “UPH Hospital”).  He helped start the new psychiatry residency program on that campus, serving as the first program director.  He later became the behavioral health medical director on the South Campus, and then the medical director at the CRC.  For two years, he worked at Cenpatico Integrated Care as the Chief Medical Officer.  In August, 2017, he returned to the CRC as the medical director there.
