Dr. Raison and his team seek to discover new paradigms for understanding mental health and to deliver innovative treatment of mental illness by focusing on the body and peripheral pathways. His work incorporates an evolutionary perspective to better understand how disease evolved and how we might treat it, for example by studying immune pathways and inflammation and its effects on the brain.
