Alison R. Coelho, PsyD

Assistant Professor, Psychiatry

Dr. Coelho is a graduate of the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, San Diego. She completed her APA Internship at Oakland Psychological Services in San Francisco, and her fellowship training at the San Diego Psychoanalytic Institute. Her areas of professional interest include trauma-focused psychotherapy, psychoanalytic psychotherapy, military psychology, and neuropsychology with a focus on the impact of traumatic brain injuries. Dr. Coelho also has a special interest in couples' therapy, with an emphasis on interracial marriage. She has practiced as a licensed clinician in both Arizona and California. Most recently, Dr. Coelho worked as a civilian contract psychologist at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. Her personal interests include traveling, spending time with family, and writing.
