Jamie Manser has a been a Tucsonan for more than two decades and loves this town! She holds a B.A. from the University of Arizona in Journalism, with a minor in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology. She co-founded, and was the founding editor of, Zócalo Magazine - a hyper-local Tucson publication. She still contributes to Zócalo on a regular basis. She is honored to be a part of the Department of Psychiatry due to her interests in mental health, neuroscience, and how brain mechanics influence the body, mind, and emotions.

In her personal life, she loves supporting the local music and arts scene, as well as swimming, hiking, camping, yoga, and travelling - most of which she enjoys doing with her husband and their canine companion Merle.
