Chief Resident Wins Poster Award

 

May 23, 2012 - Kisani Ogwaro, MD, Chief Resident of the University of Arizona/UPHK Graduate Medical Education Consortium Psychiatry Program at the University of Arizona Medical Center‚ South Campus in Tucson, won second place in the competitive UA/UPHK Graduate Medical Education Consortium Recognition Day on May 22, along with co-author and student Matthew Groysman.

Their poster was entitled "Alexithymia and Health." The findings will also be presented at the Department of Psychiatry Grand Rounds on May 30. "Dr. Ogwaro has what it takes to develop into a leader in the field of psychiatry and clinical neurosciences", said Ole J. Thienhaus, MD, Head of Psychiatry at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. "We are happy for her and intensely proud of having her as one of our residents."
