Pregnancy, Parenthood, and Pediatrics Conference

Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch Resort

Pregnancy, Parenthood, and Pediatrics: Advancing Mental Health for Women & Children was a one-day, in-person interdisciplinary conference that empowered primary and behavioral healthcare providers to more confidently care for their perinatal, child, and adolescent patients living with psychiatric disorders.

This conference was held due to the alarming shortage of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other mental health specialists to care for perinatal and pediatric patients in need. With one in five women in the U.S. suffering from maternal mental health complications, including addiction, and with one in five youth between ages 3-17 in the U.S. suffering from an emotional, developmental, or behavioral disorder, there is a significant mismatch between need and availability of care - with the need to empower more providers to care for these vulnerable populations.

Approved for 5.5 AMA/PRA Category 1 CreditsTM*.
