"Pregnancy, Parenthood, and Pediatrics: Advancing Mental Health for Women & Children" is a one-day interdisciplinary conference designed to empower primary and behavioral healthcare providers in confidently caring for perinatal, child, and adolescent patients living with psychiatric disorders.
We will host:
- Keynote presentations with national speakers
- Interactive case discussions
- Practical medication treatment updates
This conference is being held due to the alarming shortage of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other mental health specialists for perinatal and pediatric patients in need. With one in five women in the U.S. suffering from maternal mental health complications, including addiction, and with one in five youth between ages 3-17 in the U.S. suffering from an emotional, developmental, or behavioral disorder, there is a significant mismatch between need and availability of care.
Physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, psychologists, nurses, therapists, midwives, and pharmacists are encouraged to attend. This is a planned CME/CEU conference.
