Welcome to the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson!
Thanks to the creativity, ingenuity and dedication of an outstanding community of faculty, staff and trainees, our department has evolved into a regional leader and national contributor in mental health service, education, and research. We have state-of-the-art facilities that support the innovative work taking place at BUMC-South and the Whole Health Clinic.
On this website, you will find links to the various programs, services, faculty and trainees that make up our department. Historically isolated research efforts in the neurosciences, imaging, and the social sciences are coming together to revolutionize our understanding of the mind and its connection to the body as well as our environment. Advances in our field are reflected in the rich and eclectic research productivity by members of our department. Additionally, our faculty and our trainees are teaching, publishing, providing direct clinical services, consulting and formulating policies. Our department is generating, disseminating, and applying our expertise in the Sothern Arizona community as well as on the national and international levels.
