The Pima County Adult Detention Center (PCADC)
The Pima County Adult Detention Center is a county jail operated by the Pima County Sherriff’s Department and located in Tucson, AZ. It houses approximately 2000 male and female inmates at various stages in the criminal justice process (pre-arraignment, pretrial, restoration, and post-conviction). On any given day, approximately half of the jail population is prescribed psychiatric medications.

Over the course of the fellowship year, fellows spend approximately 4-8 hours per week at the PCADC providing psychiatric treatment to inmates in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary treatment team.
