Learning Objectives:

  1. Learn how to approach patients of reproductive age who may have SUD
  2. Be able to access and feel comfortable using screening tools no matter what specialty
  3. Discuss obstacles to care
  4. Understand the unique role of healthcare providers
  5. Focus on the Triple Aim of healthcare
  6. Goals of MOMS clinic and success of collaborative care
  7. Verbalize the increase in incidence of NAS in Arizona and Nationally 
  8. Understand the pathophysiology of NAS and be able to differentiate between pharmacologic treatment and a Family Centered Approach 
  9. Verbalize the 5 S’s to help calm a crying baby

The educational objective for the Addiction Medicine Grand Rounds is to provide health professionals with updates on addiction topics with the goals of increasing knowledge, competence, and patient care. The Addiction Medicine Lecture series is held monthly on a Thursday from 12 to 1 p.m. Be sure to log into your CME account and complete the evaluation to receive credit.
