Learning Objectives:

  • Review patient-centered contraception counseling practices
  • Discuss contraceptive and noncontraceptive benefits and risks in patients with neurologic and psychiatric disorders
  • Understand pharmacologic interactions between contraceptives and common neuro/psych medications

The educational objective for the APAL Grand Rounds Series is to improve medical providers’ knowledge and skills in diagnosing, treating, and supporting pregnant and postpartum individuals experiencing mental health challenges. The APAL Grand Rounds Series is held monthly on a Friday from 12 to 1pm.
