  • At the conclusion of this presentation, attendees will be able to appropriately identify basic components of Advanced Care Planning (ACP).
  • Upon completion of this presentation, participants will be able to accurately explain strategies for discussion of values, healthcare proxy designations, and advanced directives with patients.
  • Following presentation, attendees will be able to clarify the relationship between Advanced Care Planning and guardianship powers as relevant in the state of Arizona.

The educational objective of Psychiatry Grand Rounds is to provide mental health professionals with updates on psychiatric topics with the goals of increasing knowledge, competence, and patient care.  Psychiatry Grand Rounds are held on Wednesdays (September-May) from 12 to 1 p.m.
