Neuromodulation for Cognition in Late-Life Depression

Learning Objectives:
- To learn about most recent Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and transcranial Electrical Stimulation (tES) trials to enhance cognition in older adults with Late-Life Depression (LLD)
- To discuss potential use of TMS and tES to enhance cognition in Alzheimer’s Dementia and Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), both commonly linked to LLD
- To describe a recently completed cognitive decline prevention trial among older adults with MCI or LLD using transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) and cognitive training
The educational objective of Psychiatry Grand Rounds is to provide mental health professionals with updates on psychiatric topics with the goals of increasing knowledge, competence, and patient care. Psychiatry Grand Rounds are held on Wednesdays (September-May) from 12 to 1 p.m.
