Learning Outcomes:

  1. Discuss the impact of substance use on child-bearing persons and developing fetuses.
  2. Review treatment options for substance use disorders during the perinatal period.
  3. Discuss updated breastfeeding recommendations in the setting of substance use.

The educational objective of Psychiatry Grand Rounds is to provide mental health professionals with updates on psychiatric topics with the goals of increasing knowledge, competence, and patient care.  Psychiatry Grand Rounds are held on Wednesdays (September-May) from 12 to 1 p.m. Be sure to log into your CME account and complete the evaluation to receive credit.
