  1. Understand the epidemiology of autism spectrum disorder, including factors related to the growing prevalence.
  2. Review special considerations in the screening, diagnosis, and treatment of ASD in adults.
  3. Identify local and national ASD resources that can be provided to individuals with ASD.

Mom/Dad Brain aka the Brain on Parenting

  1. Increase the understanding of parenting as it relates to evolution
  2. Give a general overview of the parental neural network and its neurobiology
  3. Understand the role of plasticity which allows for neurobiological and psychological changes in parenting
