Subjective Post-Concussion Symptoms and Objective Cognitive Performance Following Mild Traumatic Brain Injury

  1. Define mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) and review symptoms in the context of the individual.
  2. Review complexities in relationships between subjective and objective symptoms following mTBI.
  3. Discuss how these findings may guide neuropsychological assessment and treatment following mTBI.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Increase awareness and proficiency in navigating available resources for fast approach interventions.
  2. Enhance understanding of the fundamental principles underlying common fast approach programs, enabling providers to effectively implement them in practice.
  3. Build confidence among providers in discussing mental health concerns and delivering brief interventions within the context of psychiatric appointments or primary care appointments, thereby improving patient outcomes and access to care.
