  1. Understand the diagnostic criteria of video game use disorder and how it compares/contrasts with other use disorders
  2. Review the pathophysiology of addictive behavior and how reward circuits are built into modern video games 
  3. Identify treatment for video game use disorder in patient and population levels

  1. Introduce the demographic shifts in patients and diversity crisis in mental health care professionals
  2. Define antiracism and minority tax 
  3. Evaluate antiracist strategies within psychiatric residency programs 

The educational objective for Psychiatry Grand Rounds is to provide mental health professionals with updates on psychiatric topics with the goals of increasing knowledge, competence, and patient care. Psychiatry Grand Rounds are held on Wednesdays (September-May) from 12 to 1 p.m.
