Learning Objectives:
- Gain a knowledge of the current understanding of Treatment Resistant Schizophrenia (TRS) and Clozapine Resistant Schizophrenia (CRS) as neurobiological and clinical conditions.
- Learn how to formulate from an overall perspective of approaching treatment of patients with TRS or CRS based in their individualized symptomatology and phenomenology combined with psychopharmacologic first principles.
- Understand the non-pharmacologic interventions to complement medications in treatment of patients with TRS or CRS.
The educational objective for Psychiatry Grand Rounds is to provide mental health professionals with updates on psychiatric topics with the goals of increasing knowledge, competence, and patient care. Psychiatry Grand Rounds are held on Wednesdays (September-May) from 12 to 1 p.m. Be sure to log into your CME account and complete the evaluation to receive credit.
