Learning Objectives

  • Understand different types of biases and how they affect health and wellbeing.
  • Identify tools and strategies to create and enforce inclusive polices in healthcare institutions.
  • Create strategies to build an inclusive and supportive classroom environment for all students.
  • Practice using inclusive language in healthcare and education to ensure all individuals feel respected and valued.
  • Participate in cultural competence training to better understand and serve diverse populations.
  • Engage with diverse communities to better understand their needs and perspectives, and incorporate their feedback into practices and policies.

This is a presentation by the PsyDAC committee, and is eligible for 1 DEI credit from the College of Medicine - Tucson Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
