Preventing Cognitive Decline in Late-Life (IMHR Webinar)

Thu, 09/09/2021 - 11:00am to 12:00pm

Jordan Karp, MD
Learn how exercise, depression and brain health are connected.

How does our brain change as we age? Is it possible to protect our ability to think, learn, remember and reason? Recent studies show that cognitive loss doesn’t have to be inevitable. Hear from Department of Psychiatry Professor and Chair Jordan Karp, MD, an internationally recognized researcher and geriatric psychiatrist, who will share what he’s learned about ways you can successfully protect your brain health and maintain your independence. He’ll also provide practical advice about what you can do now to maintain your cognitive fitness and prevent unnecessary challenges as you grow older.

Given widespread concerns, Dr. Karp will also share emerging information about how the SARS-CoV-2 virus may be affecting your brain and memory – and the many questions that remain unanswered.

During our “ask the geriatric psychiatrist” session, you will have the opportunity to share your questions and concerns with Dr. Karp. Presented by the Institute for Mental Health Research (IMHR).
