Learning Objectives:

  • Understand what we know about the basis for treatment resistance in depression, with a focus on lifespan differences (young vs. older adults). 
  • Understand the roles of treatment algorithms and models of care for optimizing outcomes of depression treatment. 
  • Understand underlying models of treatment resistance in depression and research that might overcome these barriers to improvement. 

The educational objective of Psychiatry Grand Rounds is to provide mental health professionals with updates on psychiatric topics with the goals of increasing knowledge, competence, and patient care.  Psychiatry Grand Rounds are held on Wednesdays (September-May) from 12 to 1 p.m.
