Medical Aid in Dying: Historical Perspectives, Emerging Practices, And Implications Within Psychiatry

- Provide historical perspectives of euthanasia and medical aid in dying while identifying notable changes in related terminology.
- Identify the current legal status and clinical practices surrounding medical aid in dying at the national and international levels.
- Recognize the clinical and ethical considerations associated with requests for death from patients with primary psychiatric illness.
