"Health Messaging Strategies in Practice"

  • To understand the influence of health messaging on behavior
  • To outline research on different health messaging strategies
  • To discuss existing health messaging campaigns

Alicia Nuñez is a Clinical Psychology Intern with the University of Arizona, Department of Psychiatry and a Clinical Psychology PhD Candidate at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

"Mind Wandering: Reviewing the Affective Consequences of Leaving the Moment"

Erik K. Wing, MA, PhD Candidate

Learning Objectives:

  • Define the process of mind wandering on cognitive and neural levels
  • Normalize mind wandering as a ubiquitous phenomenon with adaptive functions
  • Review research on the association between mind wandering and negative affect, identifying key predictors
  • Highlight mind-wandering issues that may be relevant in the clinical context of case conceptualization and treatment

Erik Wing is a Clinical Psychology Intern with the University of Arizona, Department of Psychiatry and a Clinical Psychology PhD Candidate at the University of Kansas.
