Southwest Summit on Transference Focused Psychotherapy for Borderline and Other Personality Disorders

October 4 & 5, 2024 - Tucson, AZ

Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is associated with emotional distress, impaired functioning, addiction, and self-injurious behaviors. Transference-focused psychotherapy (TFP) is an empirically supported individualized psychotherapy for patients with borderline personality disorder. TFP has been shown to reduce symptoms of BPD, suicidal behavior, and hospitalizations, and to improve social and personality functioning. The goal of this summit is to convene psychotherapists to engage with and learn from international experts in TFP for BPD and other personality disorders.

This event is co-produced by the Southwest Psychoanalytic Society and the UArizona COM-T Department of Psychiatry.
