Emery Mahoney, PhD

Clinical Associate Professor, Psychiatry

Dr. Mahoney has worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families to address a variety of presenting concerns over the past 8 years. She has worked in several settings, including clinic, school, and juvenile justice settings. Services provided include diagnostic assessment, individual therapy, consultation, and parent training and support. Dr. Mahoney has previously participated in the Maternal and Child Health Bureau funded Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and other Related Disabilities (LEND) program at the University of Arizona. She teaches and mentors psychiatry and psychology trainees as well.

Dr. Mahoney’s previous research in the areas of ethics and professional training issues and neurodevelopmental disabilities has been presented at the annual conventions of the American Psychological Association, The American Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and The National Association of School Psychologists and she has several peer-reviewed publications in these areas as well.
