Mairead McConnell, PhD

Assistant Professor, Psychiatry

Mairead McConnell, PhD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Banner University Medical Center South and a licensed clinical psychologist in the Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic. She is a graduate of the University of Arizona and completed her predoctoral internship at the Yale School of Medicine. As a clinical health psychologist, Dr. McConnell specializes in the treatment of individuals with concurrent physical and mental health challenges. Her areas of professional interest include chronic illness, psycho-oncology, and end-of-life. She also has special interests in grief and bereavement, and in women’s health, including infertility, cancer, and menopause.
