Addiction Medicine Grand Rounds: Integrated and Embodied Recovery

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will be able to describe the correlation between shame, trauma, and addiction.
  2. Participants will be able to describe the importance of nervous system regulation as part of addiction recovery.
  3. Participants will be able to apply shame-resilience theory to working with clients experiencing addiction and trauma.

The educational objective for the Addiction Medicine Grand Rounds is to provide health professionals with updates on addiction topics with the goals of increasing knowledge, competence, and patient care. The Addiction Medicine Lecture series is held monthly on a Thursday from 12 to 1 p.m. Be sure to log into your CME account and complete the evaluation to receive credit.
