The American Heart Association recently published Life’s Essential 8, updating the American Heart Association’s "Construct on Cardiovascular Health," in Circulation, the association’s flagship, peer-reviewed journal. The checklist replaces “Life’s Simple 7 by adding sleep duration as an essential component for ideal heart and brain health.
