PSYCHIATRY DEPARTMENT INVESTIGATORS

Psychiatry Department Investigators - led by Francisco Moreno, MD and his research team – are seeking participants 18 years and older for the upcoming study “Phase III, Multicentre, Randomised, Double-blind, Placebo-controlled Study to Investigate the Efficacy, Safety, and Tolerability of COMP360 in Participants With Treatment-resistant Depression.” This is a clinical trial of psilocybin versus placebo in patients with major depression who have not responded to at least two adequate antidepressant trials as supported by medical records or reports from their prescribers. Interested participants need to be either medication free or willing to come off their current medications. Call (520) 626-8000, or email cats-med@arizona.edu for additional information on the study, to assist in screening, and to determine appropriateness for study participation. In compensation for their time, participants receive $50 dollars per visit. There is a total of up to 13 visits with potential total compensation of $650 dollars.


SCAN Lab Studies

2B Alert
The University of Arizona SCAN Lab is recruiting for a study on the effects of the 2B-Alert App on cognitive performance. You may be eligible for this study if you: 

  • Are 18-39 years old
  • Speak English as your primary language
  • Have a regular sleep schedule

An Institutional Review Board responsible for human subjects research at The University of Arizona reviewed this research project and found it to be acceptable, according to applicable state and federal regulations and University policies designed to protect the rights and welfare of participants in research.

Bright Light Glasses Study

The University of Arizona SCAN Lab will start recruiting for a remote study examining the effects of bright light on sleep. You may be eligible for this study if you:

  • Are 18-60 years old
  • Active Servicemember in an Armed Forces Branch

The maximum compensation for this study is $500 giftcard and Fitbit Charge 5.
