Yesenia, originally from Northern California, moved to Tucson 18 years ago. She has been married to her husband Pete for over 20 years and has three daughters. She is a proud grandmother of three amazing grandsons and never misses an opportunity to show you videos or pictures of the three little boys.  

Her work history was primarily in Medical Billing and Coding until she joined the University of Arizona in May 2015, College of Medicine. In her 8 years with the University, she learned a great deal about administrative operations during her first few years, then transitioned to Graduate Medical Education July of 2019 and has enjoyed working with Physician Residents since then.

In her free time, Yesenia and her husband enjoying traveling and exploring new places. Her idea of fun while traveling is jumping on Yelp and finding a locally owned eatery and trying something new from a local spot. She is a huge San Francisco Giants fan, and you will find her watching baseball on TV March through October. Driving to Phoenix for an in-person game is something she likes doing a few times a year when the Giants are here playing against the DBacks.
