The Program

  • About: Offers paid, on-site supervised work in the community for individuals and groups
  • Services: Job coaching guidance available as needed
    • Additionally: Employment is identified through an exploration of experience, education, abilities, and interests
  • Training Opportunities: Soft skills such as attendance, personal hygiene, and effective communication
  • Requirements: Must have a referral from DDD, Vocational Rehabilitation, and/or from the Behavioral Health system
  • Other Information: Beacon Group supports these 7 core principles
    1. Consumer Choice: No one is excluded from participation
    2. Integrated Services: Employment specialists coordinate with others involved in your care
    3. Competitive Jobs: Pay at least minimum wage
    4. Benefits Counseling: Ensure you are aware of how work can impact your disability benefits
    5. Timely Support: Employment specialists help look for jobs soon after they enter the program
    6. Continuous Support: Employment Specialists provided ongoing support as needed
    7. Consumer Preferences: Choices about work are based on preferences, strengths, and experience

The Program

  • About: Café 54 is a program of Coyote Task Force
  • Program Duration: 4 months
  • Requirements: Be 18+ and enrolled with AHCCCS
  • Training Opportunities: Cook; Pastry Chef; Cashier; and Dishwasher
  • Services Offered: Job Training; Resume Preparation; Interview Practice; Assistance with Job Placement

Steps to Get Involved

Schedule a Visit

  • Call the Café (520-622-1907) and schedule a tour with the program manager
  • Complete the visit and tour with a staff member at Cafe 54. You can invite a family member, trusted adult, or peer support to join you if it will be helpful

After your Visit

  •  If you are interested, please inform EPICenter’s Recovery Coordinator who will schedule a meeting
  • After this meeting, staff at Café 54 will call to inform you of the next steps in the process

  • Program Information: Offers an expert team of wellness professionals with lived experience
  • Services: Flexible class schedules built to meet your availability
  • Special Services Available: Stress Management and Meditation, Exercise and Nutrition Workshops
    • Additionally: Lunches and Interactive Cooking Skills
  • Requirements: Be 18+, Enrolled in AHCCCS and Arizona Complete Health or Banner University Family Plan
